Section 1: Information We Collect

To provide and improve the Leg Day experience, we collect the following categories of information:

Visual Content: We collect and store the profile photos you upload. These images may be used to display your profile and facilitate interactions with other users.

Location Data: We may collect precise location information, including GPS coordinates, to enable location-based features and determine your proximity to supported venues.

Interaction Data: We may collect and store information about your activity within the App, including your interactions with other users (such as connections, preferences, and safety-related actions), to operate, personalize, and maintain the integrity of the service.

Account Registration Information: We collect information you provide when creating an account, which may include your mobile phone number, name, age, gender, and preferences. This information is used to verify your identity, secure your account, and provide the App.

Social Media & Contact Identifiers: If you choose to provide or link external account information, such as a social media handle or contact method, we may collect and use that information. In certain cases, this information may be shared with other users in connection with mutual interactions.

Contacts: If you choose to enable contact-based features, we may access your address book to allow you to manage your visibility or interactions with specific individuals. If you select contacts to hide, only the contact information you explicitly choose (such as phone numbers) will be securely transmitted to our servers for the purpose of preventing those individuals from appearing in your experience. We do not upload your full contact list, and we do not use your contacts for marketing or advertising purposes.

Lifestyle & Preference Information: We may collect optional information about your habits, preferences, or interests (such as workout frequency or timing) to personalize your experience.

Privacy Controls: Certain profile information may be limited or displayed selectively depending on the context of your interactions within the App. We design these controls to support a more discreet and intentional experience.

Section 2: How We Use Location Data

Certain features of the App rely on your geographic presence. We may use your location data in the following ways:

Location-Based Functionality: We use location information to enable features that depend on your presence within supported areas, including activating or limiting your visibility and access to certain parts of the App.

Session Management: Your activity, visibility, and access to features may be influenced by your location, app usage, or other system conditions. Certain features may be time-limited or automatically adjusted based on these factors.

Discovery Constraints: Some features of the App may only be available when you are within supported locations. When you are outside of these areas, your access to certain functionality may be limited.

Data Purpose: Location data is used to operate, maintain, and improve the App, including facilitating real-time interactions between users. We do not sell your precise location data to third-party advertisers.

Aggregate Analytics: We may use anonymized or aggregated location data to understand usage patterns, activity levels, and general trends within supported locations. This information does not identify you personally.

Section 3: Data Sharing and Monetization

We value your privacy and do not sell your personal, identifiable information to third parties. However, we may share or use information in the following ways:

Aggregated Insights: We may share anonymized, aggregated, or de-identified data with partners or third parties to understand general usage patterns, activity levels, and trends. This information does not identify you personally.

Advertising: We may display advertisements, sponsored content, or promotional material within the App. These may be informed by general information such as your activity, preferences, or approximate location. We do not share your precise location data or personally identifiable information with advertisers.

Product Insights: Information you provide, including optional preferences or onboarding responses, may be used in an aggregated or de-identified manner to improve the App and better understand user behavior.

Third-Party Venues: While we may collect information related to locations or venues to enable App functionality and analytics, we do not share your personal identity or account-specific information with those venues. Leg Day operates as an independent platform and is not affiliated with such entities.

Section 4: Service Providers

We do not sell your personal data. To operate and provide the App, we may share your information with a limited number of trusted third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as:

Infrastructure: Service providers that support data hosting, storage, authentication, and related technical infrastructure.

Content Moderation: Service providers or tools that help us review or analyze uploaded content to support safety and compliance with these Terms.

Verification & Communications: Service providers that assist with account verification and the delivery of communications, such as sending secure verification codes to your mobile device.

These service providers are authorized to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us and are contractually obligated to protect your information.

Section 5: Mutual Connections and Communication

To facilitate interactions between users, the App may enable the sharing of certain information between mutually interested individuals:

Connection-Based Sharing: When two users indicate mutual interest, Leg Day may facilitate an introduction by enabling the exchange or display of selected contact information or external profile links.

User Consent: By providing or linking contact information or external account details, you acknowledge and agree that this information may be shared with other users in connection with mutual interactions.

Third-Party Platforms: If you choose to communicate through third-party platforms or services, your interactions on those platforms are governed by their respective privacy policies. Leg Day does not monitor or control communications that occur outside of the App.

Section 6: Tracking and Technical Data

To provide a seamless and secure experience, Leg Day uses mobile identifiers, device tokens, and local storage technologies. These technologies are part of your device’s operating system and help enable core functionality of the App.

Push Notifications: We may use device tokens to send you notifications related to activity, interactions, or updates within the App. You can manage or disable notifications at any time through your device settings.

Section 7: Data Security and Processing

We implement a variety of technical and organizational measures to help protect your personal information:

Storage and Hosting: Your personal data, including profile content, location data, and account information, is stored and processed using secure third-party infrastructure providers. We implement access controls designed to ensure that data is accessible only by authorized systems and, where applicable, the user to whom it relates.

Safety Filtering: To support a safe and high-quality environment, profile content may be reviewed using automated tools and, in some cases, manual processes to detect and address objectionable or prohibited content.

Encryption: Sensitive data is protected using industry-standard encryption both during transmission and at rest.

Section 8: Data Retention and Deletion

You have control over your data.

Account Deletion: You may request to delete your account and associated data at any time through the App or by contacting us.

Effect of Deletion: Upon deletion, your profile information and content will be removed from active systems or anonymized, subject to reasonable processing time and any legal, security, or operational requirements.

Retention for Safety: We may retain limited information, including information related to safety, fraud prevention, or policy enforcement, to help maintain the integrity and security of the App. Such information may be retained in a minimized or anonymized form where appropriate.

Section 9: Children’s Privacy

Leg Day is intended only for individuals aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from an individual under 18, we will take reasonable steps to delete such information.

Section 10: Data Minimization

To support user privacy and a real-time experience, Leg Day follows data minimization practices. Certain activity data, such as user interactions or discovery-related activity, may be retained only for a limited period and may be automatically cleared or reset over time.

We do not maintain a comprehensive, permanent record of all user activity within the App, particularly where such data is not necessary to operate, improve, or ensure the safety of the service.

Section 11: Your Privacy Rights (CCPA/GDPR)

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data, including:

The Right to Access: You may request access to the personal data we have collected about you.

The Right to Delete: You may request that we delete your personal data, subject to certain legal or operational exceptions. This may also be accomplished through in-app account deletion features.
